The 56th Scientific Advisory Committee meeting of ICAR, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gonikoppal held under the Chairmanship of Dr. S. Sriram, Head, Division of Crop Protection, Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bengaluru on 19th January 2026. Dr. Muralidhara B.M. Senior Scientist and Head welcomed all the guests, members and invitees to the meeting. Dr. Gangadhara K, Senior Scientist, ATARI, Bengaluru briefed on the importance of SAC meeting.

Dr. Muralidhara B.M. Senior Scientist and Head, KVK presented the Action taken report of last SAC meeting to the august body and got approved. Later he presented the progress report of KVK activities for the year 2025-26 to the members and requested for valuable suggestions for drawing suitable action plan for the year 2026-27 and strengthening of over all activities of the Kendra. On the occasion, KVK contact farmers who helped in implementation of KVK activities in the village and their achievement in the field of agriculture were felicitated. The meeting was attended by more than 20 members and invitees.
