ICAR- Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kodagu organised a five-day training programme on Natural Farming for Krishi Sakhis at ICAR-KVK, Kodagu from 27-31st May 2024. The programme was inaugurated by Shri. Maheshkumar Holla, EO, Ponnampet taluk. In his inaugural address he mentioned the prospects and responsibilities at empowering farmers income. Shri. Sathish, C.P. Natural farming practitioner, Stowmarket shared his experience of farming with the trainees.

The programme presided over and coordinated by Mr. Prabhakar, B. Head, KVK. The officials are from NRLM District Authority and KVK Scientists were in the programme. A total of Forty-five krishi sakhis from Somwarpet and Madikeri taluk attended the training programme. A series of theory and practical sessions were held with suitable resource persons on natural farming. Dr. Rajendiran, Senior Scientist and Head, ICAR-CHES, Chettalli participated as a Chief guest and distributed the certificate to all the participants who successfully completed the training programme.
