A one-year Diploma in Agricultural Extension Services for Input Dealers (DAESI) programme was inaugurated at ICAR-KVK, Gonikoppal on 24th December, 2024 in collaboration with SAMETI, UAS Bengaluru, MANAGE, Hyderabad and Dept. of Agriculture, Kodagu District. Dr. R.Narayana Reddy, State Nodal Officer, SAMETI (South), UAS, Bengaluru along with Dr. D.S.Somashekar, Deputy Director, Dept. of Agriculture inaugurated the programme and highlighted the overview and importance of DAESI programme. Shri. Veerendra Kumar K.V. SMS (Plant Protection), ICAR-KVK, Gonikoppal welcomed the dignitaries and participants.

An orientation to DAESI programme was organised to the registered participants. Dr. R.Narayana Reddy briefed the participants and the Facilitator about the programme and its implementation. The programme is sponsored by Forty Agricultural Input dealers from different parts of Kodagu, have registered for the programme. All the staff of KVK, Kodagu also participated in the function. Finally, the programme was concluded by a vote of thanks by Pratapa. S, Facilitator (DAESI).
