The training programme aimed to empower the women to explore new opportunities in mushroom cultivation. Following the session, the group was taken on a field visit to the KVK farm, where they explored the pepper and arecanut nursery and animal unit. Notably, the training successfully motivated five women to begin mushroom cultivation on a small scale at home, with the support of Ready-to-Fruit mushroom bags from KVK, marking the start of their entrepreneurial journey. The success of the event was made possible through the contributions of Ms. Mahija, Assistant Extension Officer Coffee board who co-ordinated the vocational training, Dr. Mrunal Barbhai, SMS-KVK, and Veena, who conducted the technical session and programme assistance was provided by Mr. Benecio Fernandes, Programme Assistant.
