On March 31, 2024, Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE) and Director General (ICAR), inaugurated the ICAR-KVK Golden Jubilee Torch relay in Zone-V. This torch symbolizes the enduring spirit of KVK service to the farming community and was ceremoniously passed on to all 11 ATARIs as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of KVKs. The torch arrived at ICAR-KVK Kodagu on August 13, 2024, welcomed with traditional Coorg customs. The KVK corridors were adorned with vibrant rangoli designs celebrating the Golden Jubilee theme. Mr. Veerendra Kumar, SMS (Horticulture), greeted all guests and former KVK employees, providing an overview of the 50-year journey of KVKs in India and their significant contributions to farmers.

Dr. Sridevi K, Deputy Director (Extension) I/c Coffee Board, Kodagu was the chief guest for the programme. She congratulated the KVK Kodagu staff for completing 48 years of establishment and serving the farming society. Former employees shared their experiences and insights, reflecting on the evolution of KVKs over the years. The event concluded with a series of cultural programs, celebrating the legacy and achievements of KVKs.
